The Initial Allocation Date is an optional feature designed to handle specific operational needs. It allows organizations to start the allocation cycle without waiting for the next scheduled date if the setup is delayed.

Scenario Example:
You intend to set a yearly allocation cycle with a renewal date of January 1st each year. If, for some reason, you’re delayed by a few days or weeks in initiating or setting up this cycle, the Initial Allocation Date provides a solution. Instead of waiting until the next year to start budget allocation, you can use this date to bypass the regular cycle date for the first time and initiate the process.

Once the allocation is initiated based on the Initial Allocation Date, subsequent cycles will align with the predefined renewal schedule—for example, January 1st of the next year.

Key Points:

  • The Initial Allocation Date applies only to the first cycle.
  • It ensures smooth initiation while maintaining alignment with the organization’s regular schedule for subsequent cycles.
